The museum’s Department of Community and Education invites children aged 5 to 12 to participate in open workshops which take place every Tuesday from 5pm to 6pm at the museum. The workshops are delivered by a professional team of instructors and revolve around a changing monthly theme, such as “Black/White”, “My Home”, “My World”, and more. Each month the children focus on different subjects and explore them through a variety of techniques: clay sculpting, decoupage, painting, collage, animation, comics, and so on. At the base of the workshops lies the belief that children have a need for creative self-expression, and that it is our role to help each child find the best tool for them. The workshops welcome parents to participate and create together with their children, thereby opening an intimate, patient, and imaginative channel of communication.
